The October enrollment counts have been posted to the CHSAA web site (www.chsaa.org) and the changes for next year appear to be relatively few. So far as track and cross country are concerned, here are the changes of note (pending correction of any clerical errors) for the next cycle (starting Fall, 2012):

Berthoud - After winning a girls' state track and field championship in 2011 in 3A, the Spartans will be headed back to the 4A ranks next school year.

Fort Lupton - Fort Lupton comes down to 3A.

Highland - Highland started a cross country program this fall in 3A, but will be moving down to the 2A classification next school year.

Hotchkiss - The Bulldogs drop down into the 2A ranks and figure to immediately bolster the strength of the 2A ranks in both track and cross country. Hotchkiss has routinely pulled kids from nearby Paonia and Cedaredge ...
