Aspen has a history of seeing their athletes spread across a lot of sports. Sometimes, that hasn't worked out so well for the cross country team. That is one potential downside of having a lot of athletic talent in your school.
But, you wouldn't have known Aspen was missing much by the results the girls put up during the recently-completed season. The Skiers took second (missing first by one point) at the Battle Mountain Invitational, dominated the Eagle Valley Invitational, finished fourth at Anna Banana, and then finished fourth again at their own Chris Severy Invitational. It was in the championship season, however, that this team shone the brightest, taking a big win at the regional meet and then missing third at the state meet by only three points.
