Now that we're into April, there's no such thing as a slow weekend of track and field action. Almost every team in the state is in action this weekend, and the tension is slowly beginning to mount as athletes jockey for state-qualifying positions.
Starting at the southern end of the state and working north, Primero hosts their Ray Choate Invitational on Saturday. Think small schools on either side of the Sangre de Cristos as the target clientele for this meet. Trinidad isn't exactly a small school (at least it's a good deal larger than the rest of the schools coming to this meet), but proximity means the Miners will be coming, too.
