You won't get much argument over the claim that Hotchkiss has enjoyed the best season to date among 2A girls teams.
The threesome of Natalie Anderson, Jennifer Celis, and Mae Anderson have picked off a lot of bigger schools already this season, and would have picked off several more except that Hotchkiss normally runs in meets that score four or five runners. And, lately, freshman Sophia Schelle has given the Bulldogs a little extra depth at the #4 position.
The outlook is positively bright for the first-year 2A school.
But not so bright that other schools are turning in their uniforms and waiting for basketball to start.
