It's not much of a secret. I've admired the way Mark Roberts does things at Lyons almost from the day I started coaching. I've been that way for a long time. And, this year, I think he probably has the best boys cross country team he's had since I've been coaching. In fact, it's probably the best team he's had since he's been coaching.

So, on a personal level, it would be very easy to peg Lyons as the prohibitive 2A boys favorites and end the discussion right here.

Too easy, as it turns out. The longer this season goes on, the more impressed I am with Hotchkiss. And, the longer this season goes on, the more I think Telluride just may be able to pull this season out and close with a serious run. And both Hotchkiss and Telluride happen to be very well coached, as well.
