Holy Family Tiger Tornado Track Meet Saturday, May 5th, 2012 Where: Holy Family High School – 5195 West 144th Avenue, Broomfield, CO 80023 Saint Jude Track & Field When: Saturday, May 5th, 2012. Coaches’ meeting at 8:30 a.m. Shot and disc weigh-in begins at 8:30. Both will be held in the school commons: enter building through metal doors in back of school. All events begin at 9:00 a.m. Rankings: The Tornado is a sanctioned state ranking meet. All National Federation and CHSAA rules will be enforced, including uniform rules and regulations. Entries: Three entries in each individual event and one entry in each relay event per school. Entries close at 7:59 p.m. MST on Friday, May 4th. Register online at http://co.milesplit.com/meets/104815/ We plan to post a tentative meet program on milesplit shortly after the registration deadline on Friday night. Scratches only on day of the meet; no substitutions! Entry Fee: $200.00 for both genders is to be paid no later than May 5th. Specifics: All running events are finals with heats against time (slowest to fastest). Three attempts in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus. The top nine will advance to Finals (three attempts). Girls High Jump will start at 4 feet; Boys High Jump will start at 5 feet. Both will rise by two inch increments until a winner is determined. Scoring: Eight places will be scored in all events (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1). Facilities: Competitors are required to use 1/8th inch spikes or shorter. Starting blocks are provided. Restrooms are available in the back of the concession stand as well as in the high school, use glass door entrance just south of the stadium. Bus Parking: Bus parking is on the chipped pavement lot directly east of the paved lot. Please do not park busses in the school lot or along the street. Camps: Camps are to be located to the north of the grandstand. Infield/WarmUpArea Athletes are to warm up on the practice field southwest of the track complex/baseball stadium or elsewhere on school property. They are only allowed on the track infield when their event is called. Coaches and spectators are not allowed on the infield at any time during state rankings meets.
