The Boathouse Welco Championships will be held at Nottingham Field at UNC.
The cost of the meet will be $250. If your team enters fewer than 20 athletes the cost will be $50 + $10 per athlete (maximum $240).

General Information
State Qualifying: The Welco Championships is a state ranking event. This meet is sanctioned by CHSAA.
Facilities:
Facility Map
Track Markings: The track consists of 8 lanes. All competitors shoes must use spikes of 3/16 or less. The shot put and discus pads are made from cement. Starting blocks will be provided. All other equipment will need to be supplied by the competing schools. NO locker rooms are available for changing.
There is absolutely NO tape allowed on the track or runways. Chalk and tennis balls will be available to mark steps and relays.
Parking: Bus parking will be located on the North side of the stadium. Spectators will need to park in the M lot or risk a parking ticket.
Camps/Warm-up: Team camps will ONLY be allowed in the East and North-west stands (top level) of the stadium. The warm-up area for athletes will be on the North side of the East stands field. No athletes and/or coaches will be allowed on the football field NO EXCEPTIONS!
Concessions: A concession stand will be located on the South side of the Auditorium. A hospitality room will also be available to coaches and meet workers in the school.
Schools: The schools that will be attending the Welco Championships are: Berthoud, Briggsdale, Dayspring, Eaton, Erie, Fort Lupton, Frederick, Frontier Academy, Greeley Central, Greeley West, Highland, Mead, Northridge, Pawnee, Platte Valley, Prairie, Roosevelt, University, Valley, Weld Central, and Windsor.
Scoring: Eight places will be scored (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) in all track events, field events, and relays.
Awards: Medals will be awarded for 1st-3rd place in all events. Ribbons will be awarded for 4th-8th place in all events. A trophy will be awarded to the overall boys and girls winner, best boys and girls team based on enrollment (HJ Dudley award), and a traveling trophy will be given to the overall boys and girls winner (combined score). New for 2014, t-shirts will be given to winners of individual events and batons will be given to winners of relays. A boys and girls athlete of the meet will also be recognized with a plaque.
Entries: Each school will be allowed 3 entries per event. Athletes are limited to only four events, including relays. All running events will be contested as finals in heats against time. We will run two or three heats of the 800m, two heats of the 1600m, and 3200m run will utilize a super alley start. There will be preliminaries and finals of the field events with the top nine athletes advancing to the finals.
Event Assignments: Each school is responsible for meet events. Please have knowledgeable workers available. Your workers do not have to be coaches.
Coaches Meeting: We will have a coaches meeting at 12:15 in the North locker room.
Rules: All National Federation and CHSAA rules will be enforced at this meet (including uniform rule).
Entry Deadline: We will be utilizing the Milesplit (http://co.milesplit.com) website this year to process rosters and entries. The entry deadline will be at 7:00pm on April 24th. There will be no additions or substitutions at the meet.
Entry Fee: Entry fee is $250.00 for each school ($50 facility fee + $200) or $50.00 facility fee + $10.00 per athlete (up to 19 athletes) for a total of $240. Please pay ASAP. Make checks payable to University Schools.
