Subject: NE League Track Meet
Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., Coaches meeting at 11 a.m. in the track shed at the North end of the track.
co.milesplit.com will be used to enter all athletes and their seeding. Entries are due to co.milesplit.com by Sunday, May 5th by 4:00 p.m. After the deadline, no other entries will be allowed. Please include all times and distances for each competitor to aid in seeding/ lane assignments. In an effort to keep things running smoothly, we will only accept scratches and no adds on the day of the meet.
Track: Yuma High School Track; all-weather eight lane track. The throwing events have cement rings. The jumping events have all-weather runways and aprons. Spikes must be 1/8th inch or less on all-weather surfaces. Athletes are limited to 4 events. Athletes and spectators must set up camp in the stands, only those participating at the time should be on the field. No dressing rooms will be available.
Workers:A coach from each school will run a field event with a Yuma High School athlete assisting. Event assignments at the end of this document. Electronic timing system with photo finish will be used for all running events. Yuma will provide timers, booth workers, and exchange zone workers.
Awards:Scoring for events will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Ribbons will be given to the top three places in each division (7th boys, 7th girls, 8th boys, and 8th girls).
Events:Events will be run in this order; 7th girls, 8th girls, 7th boys, and 8th boys
Field events will start at 12:00 pm, while running events will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Field events are limited to 4 total athletes/school/division, only the top three performers will score team points.
Teams may enter 2 relay teams/school/division
Running events 6 entries/team/school/division, only top three performers will score team points.
Unlimited entries for 800m/1600m runs
Races will be run in heats against time. Lane assignments will be seeded by time, from fastest to slowest, lanes 4,5,3,6,2,7,1,8. Running events will be in NFHS order as 7th girls/8th girls/7th boys/8th boys.
Athletes will be allowed 3 attempts at all field events. The top performance will be recorded.
Pole Vault will be exhibition only. There will be an open grade Girls division and an open grade Boys division. .
Concessions:All-day concessions.
Entry fee:There will be no entry fee, expenses will be shared equally as per League guidelines.
