 2020 5A PPAC League Championships                     

Welcome to the First ever PPAC 5A League Meet on Thursday October 1, 2020 at Monument Valley Park North

All entries are to be made using the document shared with coaches in a league email.

All guidelines and requirements for this meet are subject to change based off of the Governor, El Paso County, and CHSAA recommendations and restrictions.

Welcome to the PPAC 5A League Championship Meet on Thursday

October 1, 2020 at Monument Valley Park North located at the corner of

Cost: The cost is being decided by PPAC Athletic Directors and teams will be billed later in the season.

Entries:8 entries per gender per school. Place your fastest 4 athletes in the first  wave of each race noted that in the column for waves on the spreadsheet sent to coaches. Entries are due Wednesday September 30 by 8:00am using the spreadsheet attached ENTRIES SPREADSHEET on the email sent to coaches.  email.Robert.duensing@d11.org

Box Numbers:Box Numbers were distributed based on random number generator, then repeated for second box

Scoring: Varsity run 8, displace 7, score 5

Timing: Chip timing

Chip InstructionsThe chips will be attached to the bib. Bib must be worn on front of singlet. Number must be visible.

Team Camps: Camps will be located outside the flagged area to the East and West of the Start/Finish area.

Changes/ adding runners will be done before 4:00pm race day at the scorer's tent located at the finish line

Parking: Park on the streets above the park.

Coaches meeting at 3:45pm at start line

Trainer : A trainer, Aaron Bridgmon, will be on site at the finish line area. He will have ice for injuries and water to refill water bottles. He is the only source of water available on siteIf a runner needs to be taped, have them bring their own supplies over to the trainer.

Restrictions:

o  Spectators or athletes not competing are not allowed within the flagged area at the start /finish.

o  All spectators and non participating athletes must be at least 6 feet back from the course

o  All spectators, athletes, and coaches must wear a mask covering mouth and nose while at the race location.

o  Athletes will wear their mask to the start line when they have their uniform check with the CHSAA official. The official will tell them when they are allowed to take the mask off. They must carry their mask with them during

the race. After finishing, they must put their mask back on.

Awards: Medals for top ten boys and top ten girls and plaques for top two boys teams and top two girls teams
