IMPORTANT UPDATE 8/7:  Due to the CHSAA changes for the cross country 2020 season we are only accepting 10 varsity girls and 10 varsity boys teams with a limit of 5 runners per team.  We will not host a middle school meet this year. Registration for this meet will be closed when we reach 10 teams.  Please email jschumacher@dolores.k12.co.us for password to enter this meet.

Site:  Boggy Draw, Dolores, CO
From HWY 145, turn onto 11th St. (at Basecamp gas station), continue up Dunlap Hill (overlooking Dolores Schools), turn right on Rd W. Bus Parking at Trailhead or along Rd W. Registration / Start is about 750 M up the Boggy Draw Road from the Boggy Draw Trailhead.

Car Parking:  


Parents and spectators should plan to arrive by 3:30pm. 



The best place to park is in the Boggy Draw Trailhead parking lot as soon as you enter Boggy Draw, or on County Road W just before you get to the Boggy Draw Trailhead.  There is dispersed camping parking in Boggy Draw and parking along the road beyond our start line.  We will be limiting cars on the road once the meet begins as the start and part of the finish are on Boggy Draw Road (CR W).


Bus Drop Off and Parking:
Teams should plan to arrive before 2:30pm for course walks. 

Buses may drop teams off at the starting line.  Buses may park along Boggy Draw Road beyond the start line.  There is a turn around for buses 1 mile beyond the start line.  


Meet Schedule - Friday, August 21st:
3:00pm - 4:45pm - Course Walks
5:00pm - HS Girls - 5k

5:45pm - HS Boys - 5k

6:15pm - Awards


Timing/Entries:
Timing will be done by Rocky Mountain Timing. Unlimited entries for each race.  Entries should be done on Milesplit by 4:00pm on Tuesday, 8/18. 

Scoring:

Team scoring top 4 finishers with no displacers.
*Middle School Teams/Clubs consisting of runners from multiple schools may compete for individual awards but not for team awards.


Awards:
Medals to top 3 individuals in each race
Ribbons to 4th - 10th place individuals
Team Plaque to 1st place in each race


Fees:
$75 per high school. 
$40 per Middle School

Athletic Trainer:
Our athletic trainer will be onsite and stationed by the finish line. Please make sure your athletes are hydrating on the bus to Boggy Draw and throughout the day.  Please bring a water jug for your athletes to refill.  We will have water near the finish as well.


Team Tent Area:
The team tent area is next to the finish line.  We recommend bringing a tarp to put down.  The ground is mostly dirt.


Concessions:
We will not have concessions this year.  


Course Maps:
The course is all dirt surface with a few hills. We named each hill and have signs on the course designating each hill.  We did this for a point of reference when doing your course walk. The middle school course is marked in white signs, flags, and arrows.  The high school course is all in orange.
