Due to construction, we will not have access to Longmont's Sunset Golf Course for this year's RE-1J District Meet.
The 2023 RE-1J District Cross Country Meet will be held on the athletic fields at Niwot High School on Wednesday, September 6th.
We will attempt to keep the race similar to years past. The course will be mostly grass, include tough hills, and occur 10 days before the St. Vrain Invitational.
Coaches will need to submit entries by Monday, September 4th at 6:00pm.
High school teams will each contribute $75 so we can order portable restrooms. Niwot HS is working with the portable restroom company, so please transfer $75 to Niwot HS.
Time Schedule (Wednesday, September 6th)
MS Girls - 4:30pm
MS Boys - 5:00pm
MS Awards (Top 10) @ 5:30pm adjacent to the finish line
HS Girls - 5:45pm
HS Boys - 6:15pm
HS Awards - 6:45pm
The Course
The course will be spike-friendly, consisting of natural surfaces (grass and dirt) with all asphalt/concrete crossings covered.
MS athletes will run one 2.5K loop (2.5K).
HS athletes will run two 2.5K loops (5K).
The Venue
The meet will be held on the athletic fields east of Niwot HS.
Each year we typically have high temperatures for this meet, so teams need to bring their own water.
Encourage your athletes to bring their own water bottles, stay hydrated, stay out of the sun, etc.
An area will be provided for team tents.
