Warrior Cross Country Invitational
Dear Athletic Directors / Coaches:
We would like to invite you to the Warrior Cross Country Invitational at Matchett Park in Grand Junction on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. We will be competing at the Trails at Matchett Park course location again this year in the spirit of providing athletes an environment that should be a fun and exciting start to the season.
Course: The course will be run on the Trails at Matchett Park which will consist of 100% dirt trail conditions.

7:00-7:45am - Packet Pick-up
8:00am - Boys Varsity (8 Max Per Team)
8:10am - Girls Varsity (8 Max Per Team)
8:45am - Boys Open 3200m (Unlimited Entries)
8:50am - Girls Open 3200m (Unlimited Entries)
8:55am - Open/Community 3200m (Community, Coaches & Middle School)
Open Race Registration: You can register and pay via the link below or on register on Comilesplit and pay on the morning of the race.
9:45am - Awards
Scoring/Awards: Varsity Boys and Girls races will be limited to a maximum of 8 runners per team with top 5 scoring and top 7 displacing for scoring purposes. Awards will be given to top 10 individual varsity and JV runners. The Middle School/Coaches/Open Race is free to all team coaches and is open to all others at a cost of $10 per runner.
Fees: $150 per school (covers both Boys & Girls Varsity and JV Races with unlimited entries) / $12 per athlete for smaller schools. We do plan on limiting this to a maximum of 15 teams so please confirm your plans to attend ASAP. If we have more than 15 teams we will consider running seeded races to accommodate. Please bring check to meet payable to Central High School or mail a check to:
