Sterling Cross Country Invitational Meet
Announcing: 66th Annual Sterling Cross Country Invitational
Date: Thursday, August 29, 2024
Location: West end of Pioneer Park, 1 mile west of Sterling on Hwy. 14
Sponsor: Sterling High School Athletic
Department Distance: 5,000 meters HS- 2 miles MS
Schedule:
3:00 PM - Middle School Boys
3:20 PM - Middle School Girls
4:00 PM - High School Boys
4:30 PM - High School Girls
Awards: Medals will be given to the top 5 runners in both varsity races The awards will be announced after each race. Medals will be given to the top 3 in each grade for middle school.
Scoring: Larry Lucero will be timing and scoring
Course: The running surface will consist of dirt, grass, bridges, and some hard surface paths. Time will be announced to the runners at the one and two mile marker. Maps will be available the day of the race.
Facilities: Restrooms will be available at the park. Each team is responsible to bring their own water. Coaches should pick up their packets at the scorers table. Please park buses at softball fields across from Home Depot.
Entry Info: Entry fee is $100.00 and can be paid day of meet
