2026 KIOWA

KLASSIC

GENERAL

INFORMATION

WHERE Limon Colorado

WHEN March 28, 2026

 

This meet is a State Qualifying meet and

is sanctioned by CHSSA . This meet will run prelims and finals.Top 9 distances will be moved to finals in

field events.Top 8 prelim times will go

to finals in the 100, 200, and 100 hurdles.

 

All competitors' shoes must use spikes of " or

less.Starting blocks will be

provided.All other equipment will need

to be supplied by the competing schools.No locker rooms will be available for changing.Restrooms will be available.

 

PARKING :

Buses can drop athletes off at the main

gate.Buses may then park in the parking

lot by the main gym.East side of the

main building.

 

CAMPS:

Teams can set up camp to the North of the

track between the shot and disc

 

WARM-UP AREA:

There will be a designated warm-up area

set up on the infield of the football field.

 

STAGING AREA:

Athletes will stage for each event at the

start of each event.The staging area

will be explained during the coaches meeting.Please listen for announcements that will tell athletes when they need

to check in.At the third and final

call, athletes need to be in the staging area ready to go for their race with

hip numbers on.

 

SCORING:

Eight places will be scored

(10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) in all track events, field events, and relays.

 

AWARDS:

Awards will be given out to 1st - 8th

places in each event and trophies for 1st-2nd place teams for the top boys and

girls teams of the meet.

 

ENTRIES:

Each school will be limited to 3 entries

in individual events and 1 entry in relay events.Athletes are limited to only 4 events,

including relays.All non-prelim running

events will be contested finals in heats against time.Field events will consist of 3 throws/jumps

with the top 9 places advancing to finals.A minimum mark will be established at the meet.Please enter your athletes on MileSplit.Entry deadline is Wednesday, March 26th at

11:00 PM .Please contact Kiowa Head

jcarothers@kiowaschool.org).Corrections should be submitted to our timer,

Craig Bailey. Additions will not be allowed after this time to ensure that our

timer can be as efficient as possible and we can run the meet as smoothly as

possible.

 

RULES:

All National Federation and CHSAA rules

will be enforced at this meet (including the uniform rule).

 

FEES:

The fee is $175.00 Per boys or girls team

or $350.00 for both boys and girls if paid before March 15th. After the 15th

$180.00 per boys or girls team and $360.00 for both.

-        If you have less than 10 athletes participating

you will be charged $25/ athlete.

-        Checks made payable to Kiowa School can be
