13th Annual Claim the Rock Meet- 2026
Who will claim the rock!? Academy Charter School is excited to host the South Metro Athletic Conference League Championship! This year we will be at Sandstone Ranch Trail. This will be a middle school cross country trail run to remember!
Date: Monday, October 5, 2026
Location: Sandstone Ranch Trail, 9605 S Perry Park Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118
Race Course: The 3K course consists of rolling dirt trails through forest and open space with 200 ft of elevation gain. See the map here for team tent, registration, start/finish and parking locations.

2:30 P.M. EARLIEST ARRIVAL TIME (please do not plan to arrive before 2:30).
3:30 P.M. COACHES' MEETING AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE

*4:00 P.M. MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP RACE (unlimited)
*4:30 P.M. MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP RACE (unlimited)
Scoring: The top 7 finishers will be used for scoring; in case of ties, 8th-place finishers will be used.
Awards: The award ceremony will follow the last race - approximately 5:00pm. The top 9 finishers in each race will receive a ribbon. The top 3 finishers in each race will receive a special award. The top 1 team for girls and boys will receive the traveling Claim the Rock trophy!
