Each year, Colorado Track XC recognizes the finest relay programs in the state meet. Calculation of the award is simple: the winner is the team in each classification that accumulates the most points via relays at the state meet. As such, the award is slightly tilted in favor of girls programs, since the girls have five relays and boys only four. But there are plenty of opportunities to pile up the points nevertheless.
In case of a tie, the award goes to the school accumulating more first-place relay finishes.
