Top Moments of the Meet (1): Anna Hall Chases Down Jordan McCurdy in the 800
An 800 on the Cadet Field House track is as close to three full laps as you're going to get. And, for two and three-quarters of those three laps, Jordan McCurdy was in complete, unquestioned control of the race.
But, the quarter-lap of the race that McCurdy most needed to be in control, there was the fury of a hard-charging Anna Hall to deal with.
Hall came off the final turn on a mission evident in the fire in her eyes. Hall closed hard and caught McCurdy in the final meters, taking the win at 2:23.30, just off her PR for the event.
