REACT: "They Said It"
Christian Van Cleave has made no secret that he lives for the 800. After coming on strong at the end of the 2016 season to reach the state podium, Van Cleave wanted to get his season started well. "My strategy today was to constantly accelerate until I was in a good spot around the last 300 and then give it all I had until the finish. I don't think I could have executed it any better than I did today. Racing like that is second nature to me. I spent all last season working on it, and I'm glad to see the hard work is starting to pay off."
