Apparently, there are a few things we can count on in life.

The sun will come up tomorrow. Tim Tebow will get it done, but not any sooner than he absolutely has to. And the Fort Collins girls will finish somewhere between third and seventh at Nike Cross Nationals.

This team is nothing if not consistent in post-season meets. Consistently good, that is.

While Erin Hooker was toiling along at the back end of the lead pack on Saturday, the rest of the Ft. Collins girls were keeping a steady pace up in the middle of the pack. In the end, that was good enough for a very solid sixth-place team finish. Not bad for a team that never quite hit on all cylinders during the CHSAA-sanctioned season.

Hooker would finish in 11th at 18:07. And Coach Suppes had to be holding his breath a little on this one, because it was a long time...
