With the Simplot Games and the Air Force High School Indoor Open coming up next weekend, it's not altogether surprising that a lot of Colorado's indoor athletes are taking this weekend off. Whether to rest up or to heal up, the challenges looming ahead indicate that this weekend is a good weekend to lay low.
As such, it's a light slate of entries for Saturday's Speed Denver meet scheduled for Saturday at Balch Field House. I don't know that it's safe to infer that those competing Saturday won't be going on to Simplot or the Air Force meet (in fact, it's probably not safe to make that assumption), but many will, no doubt, be making this one their final competition of the indoor season.
