Saturday morning at practice, Nash, one of my senior sprinters, summed up the 2013 St. Vrain Invitational perfectly: “That meet was sick!”
When you impress an 18-year-old, curly-blond rat nest-haired, argyle-racing-sock-wearing kid to that extent, you’ve done something special. And once again, Tim McIntire and Mark Roberts gave the Colorado track community a night to remember. Excellent weather, peerless meet management and a deep and talented field joined forces to rewrite records and send everyone in attendance to their respective conference meets brimming with confidence.
