By now, we all know what happened when Broomfield's Eagles made their final 4A cross country flight. They went out winners--and in convincing fashion.
That, of course, brings to the fore a few questions that needed to be asked anyway about how their final 4A track season might go. Broomfield has been close to a 4A state track title many times. They've had conspicuous talents on their roster with frigthening regularity, but never quite enough at the same time to pull off the big prize. You can be certain that the "big prize" idea has crossed a few minds at Broomfield High School long before this article got written. And, there's good reason why that idea has made the rounds. Let's take a look at how the Eagles break down by event:
