So far, we haven't seen much that is all that surprising about 2A girls. But, let's take a closer look at the scene that is shaping up, anyway.
The Eagles have an abundance of talent. The Eagles are especially strong in relays, but let's also be clear that they're going to score some points in individual runnings events as well. Taylor Polson, Brianna Van Vleet, and Ashley Van Vleet all seem pointed strongly in that direction. But, it is the relays that really get your attention. Paonia may not be able to load each of these relays at state, but they currently own three #1 rankings and two #2 rankings in the five available girls relays. The Akron teams of old would have been proud of that kind of domination. Morgan Hartigan owns the top shot put mark at a nice, round 40 feet. She also owns 2A's best 300 hurdles mark at 48.48.
