Disclaimer: Since I work with the athletes on a daily basis and aim to keep that ship on as straight of a course as possible, I will sidestep any discussion of TCA as a team or TCA athletes in this article. There are topics that reporters can safely explore and but which coaches are wise to avoid. In this case, my coach hat trumps my reporter/analyst hat.
Two of last year's strongest teams are out of this year's 4A picture--both Broomfield and Coronado have graduated to the ranks of 5A. But, left behind is still a very solid collection of teams. Let's just say that, by the time October rolls around, nobody is going to be feeling like Broomfield and Coronado took all the talent with them when they left.
