It seems like forever since anyone but Lyons won this thing, but it really hasn't been all that long ago. Maybe it's just that total domination seems like forever no matter how long it lasts. Regardless of how long it feels for everyone else already, it's likely to get longer this year.
Top Meets
Several solid 2A teams, but not Lyons, will be gathered for the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede on Thursday. As a rule, 2A schools don't host a lot of meets, though, so it's tough to find great convergences of 2A programs. The St. Vrain Invitational on September 6 looks about as good as any. Hotchkiss figures to pull in another, but most different, set of strong 2A teams for their invitational two weeks later. The Mile High League may be the most interesting 2A league meet of them all.
