The newly-renamed Cherry Creek Steve Lohman Invitational was held under ideal cross country racing conditions on Friday at Cherry Creek State Park.  The runners welcomed overcast skies, light to moderate breezes, and temperatures in the mid 60s.  
 
Longtime Cherry Creek cross country coach Steve Lohman was graciously recognized prior to the racing. Lohman, who remains an assistant on the Bruins track and field staff, then served as the honorary starter for all races.
 
Although the meet experienced a dip in attendance, and thus some top-end quality as well, there were still several intriguing story lines.
