The Loveland Sweetheart has never been known as one of Colorado's faster cross country circuits. The hills and the grass would have something to do with that. Add in the heat factor this year, and you have a meet that ran quite a bit slower than most of the attending teams are accustomed to running. But heat, hills, and grass are equal opportunity. While they may not impact each individual equally, they tend to impact teams in roughly equal fashion.
And so, Alamosa's win at this one stands as yet another testament on this season to the strength of this team. Alamosa has now run up, and won up, at both the Pueblo Central and the Loveland Sweetheart Invitationals.
