Coaches: Getting Online Registration Set Up for Your Meet

Are you hosting a meet this season and need to get online registration set up for that meet? Here's how.

Getting online registration set up for your meet is as simple as filling out an online form. Better still, if you hosted a meet with online registration last year, you probably only have to fill out a small portion at the top of the form.

You can find the form at the Online Registration link at the bottom of any page on Colorado Track XC. Or, simply use this link:

From this form, determine whether you want to fill out an online registration request for a track meet or a cross country meet and click on the appropriate link.

Fill out the information at the top of the form. This needs to be filled out for any online registration request.

If your meet is a new meet this year, you will need to fill out the entire form. On the other hand, if you are running a meet that essentially duplicates a meet that had MileSplit online registration last year, you can spare yourself filling out a lot of information at this point.

If you would like to have your meet cloned over from last year, simply go to last year's calendar (2014 Colorado Outdoor Track and Field Calendar) and find your meet number from last year. The number you are looking for is the six-digit number from the url of that meet. Enter that six-digit number in the text box labeled Clone This Meet Number.

From this point forward, the only text boxes you need to fill out are for information that differs from last year's meet, including the date of this year's meet.

When you click Submit at the bottom of the form, your online registration request goes into a queue. Normally, the meet will wait in the queue for a few working days before online registration is actually set up for your meet. This can run as long as two weeks during particularly busy periods, so please plan ahead and get your online registration request in well in advance of the date you need online registration to open.

Once your meet is set up, you will have most admin privileges for your meet (provided that you are logged in with your coach or team admin account). By going to your meet page and clicking on the black Meet Manager bar at the top of the page, you can add meet information, change the dates and times of the online registration window, add schools to your meet list (if you wish to add out-of-state schools, you must contact me at the e-mail in the lower left corner of this page and give me a list of out-of-state schools to be added--I'll take care of that for you, usually the same day),download entries, and the like.

One thing that will delay the setup of Online Registration for your meet is if there is an outstanding bill for your school from any previous season. In this case, you'll receive an e-mail requesting payment for that online registration before this year's meet can be set up.
