Those who have visited Valor Christian High School know it has one of the nicest track facilities around. The facility, along with the bluebird day and stiff competition from powerhouse schools like Palmer Ridge and Niwot, allowed for an excellent early season invitational.
The morning was clear and chilly with the sun well on its way as most of the teams unloaded their buses and set up team camps. Field events started off the day around 9 AM, while running events didn't get going until 10 AM which allowed for some warmth to come to the air.
One of the highlighted match ups of the day, and arguably the best, took place in the discus ring during the morning section of field events.
