Despite the fluctuations in weather, Mother Nature was kind enough on Saturday to only drop a few sprinkles on All-City Stadium. The moisture from Friday was, however, significant enough to make a small marsh of the discus area. The George Washington Invitational would forge on despite the loss of a throwing event.

Even from the start, action on the track refused to be dampened by the low temps as the Denver East sprint medley relay, featuring speedster Damajahnee Birch, set the tone for the day running a 1:50.1.

Lakewood, the ultimate victor in the team battle, rolled across the SMR finish in second in 1:52.28.
