One of the interesting aspects of 4A Girls this spring was that all six of the straight-up running races were won by two individuals--Nicole Montgomery and Katie Rainsberger. That tended to mean there were a lot of very good athletes who didn't win an individual title.
4A topped the charts for girls pole vault in Colorado, with both of the state's top pole vaulters coming from 4A. That same distinction was shared by long jump and discus, suggesting that field events were particularly strong this year in 4A girls.
