It was a very tight race last year in Jeffco 4A girls cross country, and it appears to be a repeat of that scenario for this spring.
Valor Christian - Although Wheat Ridge has an enormous lead in the rankings of returning runners from cross country last fall, Valor Christian did some serious chipping away of that lead in the spring and may reasonably considered the favorites heading into the fall. Reagan Hausmann is the key figure for Valor. If she can set a tone and bring others along with her, Valor will be tough to beat. That fact is underscored by the five returning runners from track this spring who dipped below six minutes for the 1600. In addition to Hausmann, that includes Grace Moore, Abby Zuschlag, Annie Trizna, and Olivia Szeliga. That's a feat no other Jeffco 4A girls team comes close to matching.
