There is probably a good number of ways you could measure the "deepest program in the state," but one way is the simply take and score the JV (8-14) runners for each team in the state. Not everyone who is an 8-14 runner right now will finish that way at the end of the season, but it still gives a pretty good idea of what kind of depth which teams have, and how deep it really goes.

One obvious limitation of doing this kind of scoring at this early point in the season, however, is that not every team in the state has run on the Cattails Golf Course, Confluence Park in Delta, or the other courses that tend the run consistently faster than all others. So, the rankings you see below will tend to tilt a little in the direction of those teams.
