Black and gold have a history of colors of excellence in the Northern Conference. They were also the colors of the day Friday at Longmont's Sunset Golf Course. Matt Norton's Eagles established an upset and swept the team titles, representing the history of their school colors well. After a trying start to the season, Thompson Valley was looking for a breakout race. They found that, and on both sides to sweeten the deal.
The sweep began with senior Jarrett Thollot's second straight individual conference title and a new course record of 16:52.
