It did not take long for the presumed upon outcome of the 5A boys team race to begin developing. Mountain Vista hasn't hidden their hand with much of anything to this point in the season, so why would they begin now?
Vista Nation found the revised Norris Penrose/Bear Creek course to their liking, and it wasn't at all difficult to pick out the white singlets and green shorts all around the course. Paxton Smith established his customary presence among the leaders, and five teammates had his back more or less throughout.
If you came hoping for some intrigue in the team contest, you had to dig a little deeper. The much-anticipated battle between Fort Collins, Boulder, and Arapahoe was not long in developing, but that battle found itself an extra participant in Arvada West. Fittingly, perhaps, there wasn't quite enough purple without A West.
