Tell us about the decision for the University of Michigan. What pulled you in?
After my visit to Michigan I was really impressed by both their track program and the academics. It seems like a place where I could continue to progress in athletics and academics. But what really pulled me in was the enthusiasm and overall environment at Michigan, the coaches and all the athletes on the team are what really made me excited to become wolverine.
What will you be studying at U of M?
I will be studying kinesiology at U of M.
You've experimented with a lot of events over your high school career, but had your greatest success at 200 and 400 meters. Will you be focusing exclusively on those events--and relays--this spring?
This spring I plan to focus mainly on those events, the 400, 200, and relays, but plan to continue practicing hurdles.
What goals are out there for you as you look at your final high school indoor and outdoor seasons?
My goals for my final high school season are to set new personal records in all of the events I run and to really enjoy my least high season with my coaches and teammates and helping Arapahoe score as well as possible at the state meet.
Have you given any thought yet to postseason competitions after the CHSAA season, or is it just too soon to tell yet with that?
I am planning on running in some post season competitions after the CHSAA season but I don't yet know which specific meets.
Pick a favorite highlight from your high school career for us.
I'd say my favorite highlight from my high school career has been sharing all the memorable moments from each season with my teammates and coaches. We push each other every day in practice, cheer each other on in every event, and celebrate each other's personal bests as if they were our own.
