How big was this meet?

There are many ways to measure the magnitude of a meet. In terms of bringing the major 4A contenders together, this meet was enormous. Battle Mountain, Longmont, Mountain View, Thompson Valley, Valor Christian, Palmer Ridge, Air Academy, and The Classical Academy each brought very competitive delegations. And several other 4A schools were in attendance, added their own might to the magnitude of the meet.

Another way of assessing how big a meet is would be to look at its impact on the statewide rankings. I checked that out this morning. 

To date, there have been 23 rankings meets in the Colorado 2016 season. Of those, two meets stand head-and-shoulders above the rest in terms of impact at the top end of the rankings. If you count total placements in the top fives, regardless of classification, across a...
