The 2016 edition of the Mickey Dunn Invitational will rank
high up on one of the more mild renditions in recent years. Mild only in the weather, that is, as many
performances were red hot!
A plethora of Western Slope teams, joined by the Wheat Ridge
Farmers, took to the track. With many of
the teams coming off spring break and others heading into break, there seemed
an urgency to set down some marks at Stocker Stadium's High School opener.
Eagle Valley's Charise Crabb posted 15.98 (+0.4) for the
victory in the 100H and followed with a runner-up performance in the longer
hurdles, being outleaned by Grand Junction's Megan King 48.21 to 48.28. King earlier tried her skills at the shorter
barrier race and seems to be talking a liking to them as she show...
