Colorado had a small high school delegation in Walnut, California, for this year's running of the Mt. SAC relays. Cheyenne Mountain contributed both members of the delegation. Thomas Staines began his weekend with a 4:22.03 mile on Friday. Had that been the sum total of his weekend, he may have gone home with mixed feelings about it all.
