Honestly, the HCA girls are prohibitive favorites. Barring something highly unusual happening, it's difficult to imagine enough things going wrong for HCA to lose this. They have a massive margin of error and a serious chip on their shoulder after losing state cross country in an upset last fall. Baca County and Springfield figure to be battling it out for second, but keep a close eye on Sangre de Cristo as well.
For the boys, HCA comes in as the favorites, but their margin of error over defending state champion Springfield is rather thin.
