Yesterday, we looked at cross country teams by the state meet team scoring "points" accumulated since 2010. Today, we take another yardstick to the most successful programs. Listed below are all of the schools that have produced three or more sub-16 boys in the last decade. It's an interesting list. Certainly, many of the teams you might expect are on the list, but others are not.
Like yesterday's measure, this far from a perfect measure of quality of cross country programs. Clearly, teams that frequent NXR-SW, Desert Twilight, Liberty Bell, Anna Banana, and a few other courses have a built-in advantage here. This list does not discriminate by in-state or out-of-state performances. Still, most teams touch a fast course now and then, and therefore the yardstick at least tells us something.
