2016 Colorado State Fair Street Vault: Olympians and Mansons Impress

TOP MOMENTS OF THE MEET (1)

Despite the meet being contested in two different amateur sessions the results from the two are combined then separated by gender and age divisions: 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, and the open. The morning session easily saw the largest number of prep athletes. Among those prep athletes, incoming Monarch freshman Mia Manson (photo above), the youngest member of the famed pole vault family, had the performance of the session setting a new PR of 3.20m (10-06), over two feet beyond her previous mark. A nationally elite rock climber, Manson's skill set seems to have transitioned to the family sport nicely. She won the 13-14 division. Manson's Monarch teammate Heidi Liles and Annalise Arant of Fairview vaulted 3.35m (11-00) for the highest female marks in session one, and Stephen Vaughn from Palmer Ridge won the session with a vault of 3.65m (12-00).
