Historically, 5A Region 3 is among the state's toughest regions. That little cadre of Boulder Valley School District programs has a lot to do with the difficulty of finding a non-season-ending path out of this region.
This year, the region travels to Redstone Park in Highlands Ranch to take care of business. ThunderRidge, at the far south end of the region, takes care of hosting duties.
5A Region 3 Boys Preview
We haven't seen a great deal of Isaac Green this season, but there's a high probability Monarch could win this region even without the NXN individual qualifier. Monarch very definitely wants Green on the starting line, but they may be the best team in the region even without him.
In any case, it's hard to conjure up a scenario where Monarch doesn't advance to state.
