This may be the most intriguing regional showdown of all the state's various regions this fall. New to the region are Western Slope programs Durango and Montrose. They join the Pueblo schools, Canon City, the Widefield schools, and Cheyenne Mountain.
The region has floundered a bit in recent years but has found found new life this fall.
They all get together at Widefield Community Center Park on Thursday and figure out who goes to state. We'll start this analyis with the boys.

The virtual meet has Widefield and Montrose in a virtual tie, but I'll go out on a virtual limb and pick Widefield as the favorite. Some of that has to do with depth, some of it has to do with home course advantage (which is probably not trivial on this course), and some of it has to do with Montrose's times being enhanced by a stop at Anna Banana.
