It's not easy to take a reading on an event like the Tomahawk 2 Mile. On the one hand, yes, it is a race. And, when you bring very talented runners together from several different schools and put them on a track, don't be surprised when some very good competition takes place. We saw some of that at this year's Tomahawk 2 Mile. But, the event is still, in a very real sense, a warm-up act. Nobody came here seeking to empty the tank with just one week between this event and Nike Cross Southwest.
