Converging on Kenosha

Kayla Young tries to extend her high school cross country career for one more meet on Saturday. Colorado Track XC file photo by Jeff McCoy.

I cannot promise you that all registered athletes will be racing tomorrow--and under what appears to be the best conditions Foot Locker Midwest has seen in several years--but the following is the most current list of Colorado entries:

If your insight is better than most, you'll note that a couple of these entries are not high school entries. Those entries, of course, go to the open race.

Kayla Young would be Colorado's most likely entry to advance to nationals. Young finished 11th at Foot Locker Midwest last year, but advanced to nationals when Lauren Gregory withdrew due to an injury.

You will recognize several of the above names as having competed at NXR-SW last week. All I can say about that is that it's sometimes tough to get in too much cross country during the span of a single season.

All the best to Colorado's competitors at the 2016 Foot Locker Midwest Championships!
