2017 Palmer Terror: The Creek Runs High

Tanner Norman Rolls to 4:20.22

Tanner Norman did just miss the top 1600 mark of the season due to Isaac Green's mark about a second faster at the Broomfield Shootout, but his 4:20.22 marks a PR and easily the top time in 3A just the same.

Even with Cherry Creek's Kyle Moran in the field (in fairness, Moran already had a 9:37 3200 on his legs prior to the 1600), Norman moved out to a substantial early lead and grew the gap through the remainder of the race.

Norman's lap splits came at about 1:05, 2:11, 3:17, and 4:20, showing the ability to finish strong even after three hard laps.

Moran just barely held off TCA's Ryan Moen for second, both finishing at about 4:35.

Norman next heads to the Texas Relays to take on the best Texas has to offer in the 3200.
