The Colorado Track XC Coverage Weekend (Updated)

The Mullen 4x100 will be taking aim at the Texas Relays come Saturday morning.

With this being a major spring break weekend, Colorado Track XC coverage will be a bit less than last weekend, but far from non-existent.

Ben Hershelman has the coverage call for the Lyons Invitational, newly teleported to Thursday. We may have additional photo coverage there as well.

And, Michele Bisbee returns to the familiar haunts of Stocker Stadium to cover Saturday's Mickey Dunn Invitational.

I'll be off for the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, wearing a double hat of coach and media.

Colorado representation is light at the Texas Relays but does include Tanner Norman in the 3200, Adam Dawson in the discus and javelin, and a group of Mullen boys in a scattering of events to include sprints, long jump, 2000 meter steeplechase, and--perhaps most significantly--the 4x100 meter relay.

It's a major coup if the Mullen guys can hang one on the Texas crowd of 4x100 teams at this meet. At the very least, it's a stern test for what's shaping up as a very good relay squad.

At this point, I'm not aware of any additional Colorado athletes traveling out-of-state to compete, but I would be surprised if there aren't others on a spring break weekend. Please know that you're invited to fill me in on any such activities--it does make little mentions in coverage come a bit easier.

Next weekend, of course, is Arcadia. Look for a rather large delegation of Colorado athletes dealing with the crowds at Arcadia.
