Lauren Gregory was well free and clear of the 3200 competition at Mt. SAC before the race was over.
The weekend is getting started in a big way for Colorado.
Almost lost in all the recent commotion over Brie Oakley's outstanding performances is Lauren Gregory. Well, no more.
Gregory just dropped at 10:08.31 to win the Brooks 3200 Meter Invitational for girls. Only that wasn't just winning; Gregory's margin of victory was 32 seconds over second place.
That mark should, at least for the time being, put her nationally at the #4 position for 3200 meters.
More Fort Collins High School athletes will also be competing at Mt. SAC this weekend.
