All eyes turn toward the Colorado State Track and Field Championships. It appears the anticipated showdown between the Grandview girls and Ft. Collins girls will culminate next week. After watching them perform without Michaela Onynewere at this meet, it's obvious Grandview has what it requires to bring home yet another state title for the school--though in a sport in which they don't possess one.
Cherokee Trail's girls, always formidable at the state meet, will rack up some points as well and are looking at a probable top-5 team finish.
The Cherokee Trail boys likely don't have the horses to compete with Fountain-Fort Carson and Monarch, however a matching top-5 finish could be in the offing. Per usual, Centennial League athletes should secure some individual and relay championships as well.
